We keep the 32-bit-only plugins as well, for backwards compatibility. We'll be adding five 64-bit versions of Toneboosters plugins* in the next release version of Mixcraft. When we add new plugins to Mixcraft, we generally do add 64-bit versions of those plugins. If somebody is running into performance issues with 64-bit Mixcraft, they could switch to 32-bit Mixcraft and still create audio of the highest quality. I understand that the industry is moving towards 64-bit plugins, and that 32-bit plugins are 'old technology,' and yet. The audio quality is the same: 32-bit floating point audio mixing in both 32- and 64-bit Mixcraft. Do they even sell 32-bit computers anymore? The issue at hand is whether to run 64-bit Mixcraft or 32-bit Mixcraft on 64-bit Windows, right?ġ) Access more than the first 4 GB of RAM. Nobody is recommending getting a computer with 32-bit Windows.
